The JESIP App is the official companion to the JESIP Joint Doctrine, serving as a valuable resource for personnel across all levels involved in emergency response, including those within the emergency services and Category 1 & 2 responders.

Main Features:

• Easily adhere to the five principles of collaborative work using the Joint Decision Model
• Generate and transmit METHANE reports (or ETHANE for non-major incidents) via SMS or email
• Access definitions to common terms through the Glossary
• Information regarding tabards worn by on-scene commanders
• Details about the mobile communications utilized by emergency services, including handset instructions and guidance on changing talk groups

Note:

• GPS and a data connection or mobile network are necessary for utilizing certain functions of the METHANE reporting tool.
• When using a mobile network, the minimum coverage required includes:

1. A 2G signal is needed for successful sharing of a METHANE report or checklist via SMS.
2. A GPRS or EDGE (2.5G) signal is required for sending a METHANE report or checklist via email.
3. A GPRS or EDGE (2.5G) signal is essential for utilizing maps within METHANE. While the App uses the device's GPS to pinpoint location on a map, without a data connection, it cannot load map graphics.

The signal strength will impact the speed and reliability of these tools.

All other functionalities such as Principles, JDM, Risk, Communications, Tabards, and Glossary (excluding online Glossary link) operate independently without relying on a data connection or phone network.
